New functionality for PTFB Pro, and LogMeister Update

September 6th, 2007 by Paul Roberts

There’s a new release of PTFB Pro coming in the next couple of weeks that will have some oft-requested new functionality!

If you have a vital utility that you need to keep going, PTFB Pro will check periodically to see if it is indeed still running. If other users in an office environment have mistakenly closed the program, or if it’s a little unstable and has exited without warning, PTFB Pro will quickly relaunch the program to ensure that it keeps doing its job. Conversely, PTFB Pro can be set to forcibly close an unwanted program that keeps
getting launched, whether it’s through user action or some automated process.

Also, a little update on the next major release of LogMeister. We had hoped to release it by the end of August, but there’s so much new functionality going into to it that we won’t be able to release until
later in the year. However, when the release does occur we’ll have a larger than normal “window” for free upgrades so you can get LogMeister or EventMeister now, safe in the knowledge that you’ll be able to
upgrade to the new version without further payment.
