Less Painful Pasting for ColorCache
May 23rd, 2007 by Paul RobertsHave you ever used a graphics program that requires you to define a color by copying and pasting the various components (e.g. the red, green and blue values) into separate boxes? I have, and it’s a pain. Well, I finally got around to providing a solution to this in the next major release of ColorCache (version 4).
Basically, when you have to enter a color into one of these user-unfriendly editors, you just copy the whole color in ColorCache, click inside the first of the boxes in the target program, and use a special hotkey for the paste. ColorCache then splits up the color and puts each of the component values in the editor’s separate boxes. That’s one copy/paste sequence instead of three!

OK, it’s only a small feature compared to all the other stuff that’s in the new ColorCache, but it’s a real joy to use.
